Fredrick Johnson iv, a.k.a. "Pistoz", was born in Niagara Falls , New York , June 21, 1983. He was raised in the poor Mid-Town neighborhood of the city as the son of a Bus driver and a Mechanic by trade, Laborer.

Being one of the numerous thoughtful Reality rappers to emerge from Niagara Falls "Dirty Waterz" New York during the late-'90s Pistoz enjoyed critical success early in his career, particularly with his single "Imma do me"(1998), but commercial success largely eluded him over the years.

Johnson named himself Pistoz, for his lyrical form of rapping. Rapid and choppy yet calm and collective with a hint of arrogance. A local DJ and producer by the name of DJ Jus-Nice heard Pistoz's early tapes. Impressed DJ Jus-Nice took him under his wing and began recording the new found hype.

Rap Career

Mr.Pakipsi began rappin sometime in middle school. First rapping to his family and friends , then entering school talent shows and local Black festivals(1996-2000). "Pistoz" gained a love for writing and performing. Teaming up with a few neighborhood friends (Corey, Durell, Raymond, Von and Rocky) and being in a number of groups

(Lost Soulz nf, F.B.I. AKA Fallz Bridge Inc.), he maintained his independence and started to venture solo. By association Pistoz found his way into the presents of a local Producer, then Downtown St. Catharine's resident "Prohp”. Who fell in love with the rapper's quick/versatile flow and arranged for a meeting with Pistoz. Prohp and Pistoz became instant friends.

Pistoz first gained notice with "I'm not goin," his first single, which was produce by Proph and recorded in Dun Crime Records,(JeanYus Studios). His second project would be his first mixtape venture, called Dealin Wit Greatness Volume 1. He appeared on "mainstream" songs remixing them and putting his verses with them.

He also made appearances at local nightclubs and car shows all throughout the St. Catharine's area. His next mixtape a continuation of the first mixtape called Dealin Wit Greatness Volume 2 . This mixtape contained a instant hit called "Armed-N-Dangerous". With only a handful of guest appearances Pistoz built a sizeable buzz around his name leading up to his next debut Mixtape Dealin Wit Greatness Volume 3.

Despite being one of the most popular and locally known artists in the city, he only saw an album released in his dreams. Now in the studio every free chance he gets Johnson aka " Mr. PoPoff" is now working on a Album titled Project Exile, release date 2012.

In the later year of 2007 Johnson started a movement called Get Gwap Gang. This unit consists of Pistoz, Dwayne"Katt Daddy"Handley, Rocky"H.K."Tabb, Timmie"Simi Auto" and Garry"G"James. Get Gwap Gang stands for "Get Greater Wit Alota Paper Gang".
