Mr. Ruffy

Jerome Carty who is undoubtedly blessed with a singer's voice was born on the French side of the island of St.Martin/St.Maarten. His talent first came to light in 1988 when he joined the band Nuff Respeck as the guitarist, lead vocalist and band leader. His first recording was made in1994 with the Nuff Respeck Band “EDUCATE YOURSELF” in which he had two popular songs on the album “UN NOTE CHANCE” and “LOVE IS NOTE A GAME”. In 1995 he was recruited as a police officer after hurricane Luis by the French government of Saint Martin . Never putting his musical ambitions a side in 1997, still with the Nuff Respeck Band the second album “STRICLY BUSINESS”produced hit songs like “GE ME MORE” “WHERE'S YOUR LOVE” and “PAS LA PEINE”, all written and composed by Jerome Carty, in 1999, the third album “CAMOUFLAGE” with the hit song “U N I” by Jerome Carty. Jerome and his band mates walked away with the road march title“THROW D WATER” in 2000, did it again in 2001, winning the road march title two years in a row with the song “TRAFFIC JAM”.

He has worked in collaborations with other recording artiste such as King T-Mo, King BoBo, the Mighty Dow, Isabelle “AYZA” Esdra, LARAFAGA, Jerry and Fabien Charbonnier “ZOOKLOOK”, DUTTY SHAM, Jocelyne Beroard lead vocalist for the world famous French ZOUK band “KASSAV”and also bands like VOLCAN FORCE, VIBRATION, LINO ‘n' the HARDWAY, SWEET CHOCOLATE BAND at“Cheri's café”, OXYGEN, CONTROL and the BAD BOYZ. Jerome has also made advertisement jingles for several companies and politicians In St.Martin/ St.Maarten and Aruba . These experience prepared Jerome for his fulltime entry into the Entertainment scene in Saint Martin/Saint Maarten the Caribbean and internationally. In April 2002, he joined the famous Youth Waves band as a lead vocalist.This move gave Jerome the opportunity to utilize the full range of his musical ability.This experience was most rewarding, exposing him to a variety of audiences world wide, sharing performances with top Caribbean and North American artist. He traveled extensively through North and South America, Europe and the Caribbean .

From December 2006 he is no longer a member of the Youth Waves band.

Now the time has come to launch out by himself as a solo artiste, on December 3 rd 2007, He releases his debut album” All Over U”. Mix of party music featuring a fusion of Soca, Zouk and RnB.
