Unlike most DJ's romantic stories of growing up listening to their parents play soca around the house, i actually wasn't seriously introduced to the music until around 1996 when by chance i happened to come across some mixed tape with Burning Flames 'Morning Noon and Night' on it, and was interested in learning more about what kinna music this was. Up until then, living in Toronto and having never been to Cropover (the Carnival of Barbados) i was always of the belief that all calypso/soca came from Trinidad and upon learning a lil more about music from the lesser known islands, decided to further explore musically since. With my fascination with DJ equipment and passion for music of all genres...it was only a matter of time before my two worlds collided and thus, my 'DJing' (i hate the term DJ) came about and i decided on the name D'Boywonder being that i was someone who did good things but stayed out of the limelight and allowed others to parade for the audiences.

Stubborn by nature...i often prefer not to walk the beaten path by sticking to 'top-ten' music to be a top-ten 'DJ'...believing that good music is often over-looked because the artist is not previously known or because one particular islands "sound' isn't as popular as anothers and often tend to play what i think needs to be heard instead of what will make me popular in the eyes of my audience. A true 'man of music' teaches his audiences instead of catering to them, and with those principles in place, the beautiful music we call Soca could only grow to higher heights.

Having done a few parties before, i decided to try an spread my wings an take this musical odyssey of mine to the internet and even though i've been approached by a few stations in the past, decided i'd call Frontline.com my home on the strength of good vibes and a handshake from the Mighty Hitman in person.

Its funny though, how some people have asked me 'why would you choose a background name like Boywonder when Batman got all the attention?' but to those i say 'who needs a Frontline name?'...when my name is now on the Frontline..(deeeah)
